07/22 - Season 2 - Schwartz keeps quiet!
Ryan's in Chino, Seth is alive and well, at least physically. And the Nana is responding to her cancer treatment. That is more or less what we know about the second season after the FOX Summer Press Tour. Josh Schwartz showed a clip of the season premiere which hinted that Kirsten has reached a breaking point about the departures of Ryan and Seth. "Summer's over... Bring him home", she says to her husband. Schwartz is keeping pretty tight-lipped about plot points from the early episodes, but he does allow that Ryan will eventually return to Orange County. "I think it was never a question of would Ryan come back, but a question of how, and also how his leaving and the summer that has taken place with his absence, with Seth's absence, has sort of... torn these families apart" Schwartz says. He says that Navi Rawat will return as Theresa, Amanda Righetti as Hailey Nicholl and Linda Lavin as Sophie Cohen (The Nana), "She was great" Schwartz says of Lavin. "The Nana really popped for people. And so, therefore, I think it's safe to say the chemo is working".

06/02 - Season 2
Here is information about the new season:
First of all, please notice the change of schedule : OC will now be on thursday nights (and not on wednesday nights anymore), and so will have to face Survivor and the Friends' Spin Off Joey.
The new season begins November 4th, right after the baseball season on FOX. It will be composed of only 24 episodes (whereas there were 27 episodes in the 1st season)

05/11 - An OC "clone" ?
According to The New York Post the FOX has asked the OC creatorJosh Schwartz to write a "companion series". It will not be a spin off (like Angel for Buffy), rather a series with the same tone and action. It will mix adults and teens stories. It could be on air in January 2005...
